The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) is a non-profit, non-governmental and non-partisan organization established in 1995. Organization's main priority and scope of work is election monitoring, which aims to guarantee the transparency of elections by monitoring the implementation of electoral procedures and thereby increasing society's confidence in the results of the elections. ISFED Representatives will monitor elections within the frames of European Network of Election Monitoring Organizations' (ENEMO) mission. ISFED's 6 Long Term Observers (LTOs) already arrived in Ukraine on December, 15. During two months, they will observe whole electoral processes in the country. For Election Day Observation, organization's 26 representatives will arrive in Ukraine on January 14, as the Short Term Observers. The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) supports citizens' awareness and their involvement in the process of constitutional changes in Georgia. With ISFED's organizational support, and National Endowment for Democracy's (NED), National Democratic Institute's (NDI) financial support Town Hall Meetings are held in various cities of Georgia. During the meetings members of the State Constitutional Commission inform the citizens about the activities carried out by the SCC and the changes ongoing in the Constitution of Georgia. Please, see the conducted THMs: November 27, 2009 In 2008 the Heinrich Boell Foundation, Transparency International Georgia (TI), the Georgian Young Lawyers Association (GYLA) and Green Alternative (GA) initiated an informal coalition to monitor the implementation of the European Neighborhood Policy in Georgia. This was joined in 2009 by International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) and the Centre for Strategic Research and Development of Georgia (CSRDG). The purpose of this report is for members of a Georgian NGO Coalition to provide an analysis of the Georgian Government's implementation of the ENP Action Plan. The intention is not to be comprehensive, but to offer analysis on those areas that fall under the expertise of the coalition members. The Government of Georgia has already provided an assessment of its own performance for the January to June period of this year and so the report will also respond to that. The report covers strengthening the rule of law, democracy and human rights (priority one), sustainable development, poverty reduction and environmental protection (priority three) and transport and energy (priority eight). November 5, 2009 International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) presents the report on monitoring the implementation of the Action Plan under the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP) during the period from January, 2008 to October, 2009.
