The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy presents fourth interim report of pre-election monitoring for October 27, 2013 presidential elections. The reporting period reflects violations identified during the period from August 20 through September 8, 2013.

The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) presents fourth and final report of monitoring developments in municipalities following the 2012 parliamentary elections. The report entails information about political processes in self-governments, staff changes, protest rallies and legal persecution of self-government officials.

International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) publishes the first interim report of the 2013 pre-election monitoring, which includes  results of the print media monitoring between July 15 and August 15.The monitoring was carried out according to the internationally accepted methodology. Following media outlets were monitored: “Rezonansi”, “24 Saati”, “AkhaliTaoba”, “AkhaliVersia”, “Alia” “Asaval-Dasavali” and “KvirisPalitra”.

The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) presents the third interim report of pre-election monitoring for the October 27, 2013 Presidential Elections. The report covers the period from August 5 through August 20, 2013. According to ISFED, from the start of the pre-election campaign there have been no massive violations of election laws; rather, only a few cases have been reported.

The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) presents the second pre-election monitoring report for the October 27, 2013, presidential elections. The monitoring covers the period from July 20 through August 4, 2013.

GYLA has found that Batumi City Court intends to examine an election complaint pursuant to a general procedure for disputes litigation, rather than examining it within a short timeframe as prescribed by election laws. It essentially violates the spirit of election laws and is harmful to pre-election environment as well as the interests of justice.

According to official reports, on May 13, 2013, 24-year old prisoner Levan Kortava was brutally beaten in Geguti penitentiary establishment, resulting in his death on May 23. Subsequent investigation has uncovered a number of alarming circumstances.

According to ISFED’s information, at the meeting held on August 2, Gamgebeli of Aspindza requested trustees of villages and their assistants to write a letter of resignation.
