The forum discussed the Coalition’s recommendations on judicial selection and appointment, case assignment, and appointment of court presidents.  The objective was to present the Coalition’s suggestions to state bodies and civil society organizations, to promote open discussion on these issues, and gain the stakeholders’ support for future implementation of these recommendations.

On December 22, International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy held a roundtable discussion with participants of the process of selection and certification in civil service and other stakeholders. During the meeting ISFED discussed trends identified by the monitoring and presented subsequent recommendations.

Akhaltsikhe District Court invalidated decision of a commission for selection and certification restricting ISFED’s right to monitor the process of competition for municipal employment.

International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy won another case. Zestaponi District Court granted the claim of 21 plaintiffs represented by ISFED.

International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) won another case in court. On November 13, 2015, Tsageri District Court granted claim of Tamila Gabidzashvili, represented by ISFED.
