International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) publishes the first interim report of the 2013 pre-election monitoring, which includes  results of the print media monitoring between July 15 and August 15.The monitoring was carried out according to the internationally accepted methodology. Following media outlets were monitored: “Rezonansi”, “24 Saati”, “AkhaliTaoba”, “AkhaliVersia”, “Alia” “Asaval-Dasavali” and “KvirisPalitra”.

The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) continues the election monitoring of press within the frameworks of the EU-UNDP funded project “Professional Media for Elections”, and presents the first interim report before the presidential elections of 2013, which covers the period from July 15 until August 15

During the reporting period the election-campaign was more active. Compared to the previous reporting period (July 20 – August 5), number of political parties’ meetings with public increased.  Unlike the previous reporting period, no acts of violence have been reported.

The International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) presents the third interim report of pre-election monitoring for the October 27, 2013 Presidential Elections. The report covers the period from August 5 through August 20, 2013. According to ISFED, from the start of the pre-election campaign there have been no massive violations of election laws; rather, only a few cases have been reported.

GYLA has found that Batumi City Court intends to examine an election complaint pursuant to a general procedure for disputes litigation, rather than examining it within a short timeframe as prescribed by election laws. It essentially violates the spirit of election laws and is harmful to pre-election environment as well as the interests of justice.
